Fitness Log August 2018

Starting to move again This year has been a difficult year as far as my strength and fitness are concerned. I had a few 100 mile and 100 kilometer milestones in the last few years, but when I injured my hip last winter, it all fell apart. Last January it was particularly bad - I couldn’t even walk or stand for more than half an hour. Cycling Log September 2008

2008-09-14 North Point State Park The first half of the route was quite pleasant. The beginning of my return trip was okay and interesting as I took an unmapped road that wasn’t open for general traffic. I don’t know why this road was closed–it was in a very good shape. Cycling Log August 2008

2008-08-03 Kelly Ave To be honest, after waking up sweaty I didn’t feel like riding this morning. Cycling Log July 2008

2008-07-02 Jones Falls Started out tired but woke up in the first mile or two on the bike. Uphill segments didn’t give me much trouble, but I didn’t feel as energetic as my last ride from/to Mt.Vernon (not logged). Overall very enjoyable and refreshing, especially through the Druid Hill Park. Date/Time: 07/02/2008 06:13 AM Route: Similar to last week’s route through Druid Hill Park to Baltimore Zoo, but didn’t take Druid Park Drive this time.

Cycling Log June 2008

2008-06-09 Lake Montebello I briefly mentioned in my previous cycling-posts that I was planning to record cycling routes with the gps and create something like a bike-log. I’m starting today with my first log-entry and hope to continue this as often as I can and time permits. There are several ideas and intentions behind this little side-project. I want to record bicycle routes and make some notes about them. I’m mostly interested in the route, the time, the weather and traffic, as well as my own physical condition.
